A nationwide hackathon to engage students in developing innovative solutions and leading the circular revolution in Bangladesh's RMG industry. Participants will turn their ideas into circular innovations with expert guidance for a greener future.

Challenge

Pre-Consumer Waste in the Apparel Industry

Cohort 2 will challenge the participants to rethink the pre-consumer textile manufacturing waste, focusing on the unique context and challenges of Bangladesh. Working under expert guidance, you will work in teams to learn, brainstorm, design, and develop practical, innovative solutions for jhoot, waste water etc to design a fully closed loop system where waste can be reinserted into the system as a resource. The goal is to revolutionise the early lifecycle of garments, ensuring they are durable, easy to repair, and made with recyclable sustainable materials.

Q. Is on-site presence mandatory for the entirety of the Programme?

A: For the University Roadshows as part of the hackathon, on-site attendance is mandatory at each respective campus. The main Textile Hack 2025 event will be conducted in a hybrid format, featuring multiple interactive sessions. Participants must attend a 3-hour workshop every Saturday, with full attendance being a requirement for the program.
